So, what are my overall goals?

Well, if I'm being perfectly honest I would like to shift gears from the operations side of Information Technology to the development side!

I've had a background in web since I've left college in 2008, but aside from small scale projects like websites, and a now defunct webcomic "webring" (retro right?) there wasn't many places here in Arizona at the time to really flex my skills, so eventually I shifted into IT as I needed some experience understanding what keeps the web afloat.

Some more experienced devs might have a good chrotle at this, however I think learning how the internet functions and how to keep it secure would make me a more well rounded developer. It's one thing to write/copy code, but is my code going to prevent buffer overflows or SQL injections? Will my code cause the company application to crash with taxing lines of javascript? These are things I have to ask myself these days.

For what it's worth, shifting from IT to a developer role allows me to fully respect folks on the front lines while we work on patching any vulnarabilities and push out updates.

I suppose I should mention a bit of a gap between school and getting in to IT. Once upon a time, I wanted to be an indie game developer.

Yeah, yeah... I know not exactly start-up material.

However, I've made two games published on Google Play and Steam, however the former was taken off the store. The latter is still up on Steam!

My current projects

Here I have a few projects I have worked on. They're projects I've completed, but am going back to add new features/functions over time.

Below-Saga v 2.0

Github Link

An Undertale/DeltaRune inspired clone of the battle system. SCORE system is still a work in progress.

Rock Paper Scissors - v 2.0

Github Link

Updated! Fresh new look and win/lose conditions for Lizard and Spock, give it a go!

Pixelize - WIP

Github Link

This went from an Etch-A-Sketch to a pixel art program. Still working out the download image function and drag 'n' draw.

Calculator - v 1.0

Github Link

All functions work, save for the +/- button. The issue is when trying to use the second operand as a negative number, the output is incorrect but adding from a negative is fine.

Baxter's Adventure (Steam)

It's old news, however this project took a year and a half to complete by myself. It's a web HTML5 game which I used the now defunct Construct2 web engine to create.
